About Valeska
Over 15 years of combined interactive media experience
Valeska l. Jacques
Valeska I. Jacques is the co-founder and owner of Rivvid, a unique video trivia platform that allows any player to convert any YouTube video into trivia. Her dedication to push the envelope with innovative ways to brand, market, and promote over 100 small businesses and well known brands such as Harley Davidson, Humana, Nickelodeon, Community Bank of Florida, First Choice Bank, Nix, Sucrets, Anacin and Bertram Yachts enabled her to gain the necessary experience in interactive media, online branding, and social media marketing. Brands such as Southland Mall, Teeccino, Zoo Miami, XMA (Extreme Martial Arts), and many local small businesses jumped on board when she incorporated video trivia as part of their campaign. Empowering content producers and brands to create “share-worthy” content in an easy way is what founded Rivvid. Her Literacy and Don’t Text and Drive video trivia campaigns have captured sponsors such as Purina Mills, State Farm, allowing Rivvid’s clients to achieve more brand exposure.
Prior to her current activities, Valeska ran her own interactive agency in Miami. In 2001, she engineered the development of a web portal to motivate a sales force located throughout South America to improve efficiency across offices located throughout Europe, Central America and Miami. This web platform resulted in a web document storage solution that consolidated tasks surrounding communication. It was a solution well advanced for its times and the vision that started uVium (2002-2011).
Valeska was actively involved in the Miami community. She served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Women Business Owners Miami Chapter and Chairperson of the Miami Beach Pillar Trustee for the Public Relations Committee. While there, she pioneered the Miami Beach Technology Council. Valeska started educating business owners about Interactive Media & Technology since 2004 and has been invited to speak in Florida, California, and Bogota, Colombia.
As an active mom volunteer, she launched a parent education series at her son's elementary school and joined the fundraising committee to spearhead initiatives that directly raised over $40,000. Currently, she serves her 2nd term as Vice President on the board for the Valley Gateway Council, which oversees all 13 schools in San Fernando Valley.
